Beige Banarasi Ektara Buti Kadhuan Brocade Handloom Cotton Saree

The Composition: This saree uses pure cotton both in the warp and weft. Using cotton warp on a handloom requires extremely fine yarns and also a lot of skill. There are only a handful of master-weavers who can execute this weave. Handloom cotton sarees have an extremely comfortable feel and a classy look.

The Weave: The saree features the Kadhuan Brocade weaving technique, considered to be the epitome of handloom brocade weaving, to create the motifs. Each buta is woven individually with a hand shuttle, diligently, one line at a time by a master weaver. Weaving time for each saree is usually in excess of 200 man hours, often significantly longer.

The Measurements: The saree measures approximately 5.4 meters (220 inches) in length, 1.10 meters (44 inches) in width and 500 g in weight.

The Blouse: The saree comes with an unstitched blouse piece measuring 70-90 cms. Please refer to the last product image for a snapshot of the blouse piece.
